Job Description:
Zeiders Enterprises is seeking a Clinical Counselor to support our government customer. Clinical Counselors provide short-term, solution-focused, non-psychiatric individual, couples, and group clinical intervention for eligible clients.

Other responsibilities include:
• Conduct intake, screening, assessment, and referral of clients as appropriate. Based on the assessment, work with the client to establish an individual treatment plan outlining the goals of treatment.

Required Qualifications:

• Domestic violence experience and willing to perform FAP and Non-FAP duties.
• A minimum of two years of recent full-time clinical experience.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software and skilled in the use of office software to enter appropriate case documentation information into FFSMIS.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULM) Department of Educational Leadership and Counseling invites applications for a nine-month tenure-track position in the Marriage and Family Therapy Program (s) at the Assistant Professor level beginning August 2011. The successful candidate will teach classes in Marriage and Family Therapy and/or Counseling, provide clinical supervision of practicum and internships, and maintain an active program of research, which includes the pursuit of external funding for research and/or service. In addition, the candidate will be expected to serve as a member and/or chair of theses and dissertations, perform student academic and career advisement, and to be actively engaged in departmental, college, university, and professional service. QUALIFICATIONS: Basic Qualifications for Assistant Professor:

Opportunities for NW Louisiana LPCs

1. Easter Seals of Louisiana is advertising a full-time position through a contract between Easter Seals Louisiana (Mental Health Mobile Crisis Team) and Shreveport Mental Health Center, Office of Behavioral Health. The position will be Program Manager and a FT employee of Easter Seals. This position will be stationed at the SMHC Monday-Friday 8-4:30 and will provide support to clinicians, handle walk in assessments but most importantly respond to Crisis situations in the field. There are some on call hours which can be rotated but are 6am- 8am and from 4:30pm- 10pm Monday-Friday, Sat and Sunday will be from 6am – 10pm. There is additional on call pay for phone support and if activated to respond to a crisis after hours, activation pay. All calls are currently screened by the SMHC before contacting the on call individual. Travel will be required within Region 7, salary will depend on experience.

University of Louisiana at Monroe

Director of Juvenile Drug Court and Clinical Services: The Marriage & Family Therapy and Counseling Graduate Programs at the University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULM) are seeking a professional colleague to fill a 12-month position to begin September or November, 2010. This is a one year contract renewable upon satisfactory performance and continued funding.

Responsibilities Include: Directing clinical services at the campus Marriage and Family Therapy Clinic and externship sites. Supervising the treatment services provided through the 4th Judicial District’s Juvenile Drug Court Program. This will entail the direct clinical supervision of interns, coordinating all aspects of treatment, and collaborating with all other team members. Both of these responsibilities will entail working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and environment. Teaching graduate Marriage & Family Therapy/Counseling courses directly related to clinical application and/or other courses related to applicant’s expertise.

Minimal Requirements: M.A. from COAMFTE accredited Marriage and Family Therapy Program or related mental health field with current MFT License, AAMFT approved supervisor designation or in process of supervision mentoring, two or more years of clinical management experience, and eligibility for licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Louisiana. The successful candidate must be willing to promote the integrity and intent of the Marriage & Family Therapy Academic Programs and overall University Mission. Preference will be given to applicants with a Ph.D. from COAMFTE accredited Marriage and Family Therapy Program and experience in substance abuse counseling.

MHN Government Services is seeking schools-experienced clinicians who are licensed to practice independently in Louisiana–to support military kids in Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) schools.

The Military & Family Life Consultant (MFLC) Program is a Department of Defense program which was created in 2004. The program addresses the increasing need for support for Service Members and their families– driven by wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

MFLCs in DoDEA Schools work in the school setting and directly with military kids, but also with teachers and staff. Consultants generally work during school hours, but after hours duties may be required. Assignments follow the school calendar; assignment term is the complete semester.

Military & Family Life Consultant School Counselors are Independent Contractors. The contracted pay rate is $50/hour; weekly time worked varies somewhat, according to assignment, but is generally a full 40-hour week.
